BSI understood that there was an opportunity to generate significant new business opportunities with CSR managers in mid-to-large corporates and leading public sector organisations, provided they could effectively demonstrate a deep understanding of the key drivers in this field, and could communicate BSI’s value proposition to the market.
Grist helped them to do this through the execution and dissemination of a research programme (literature review, survey and in-depth interviews) exploring the opportunities and challenges inherent in implementing CSR initiatives, how managers are rising to these challenges, what tools they are using and the role standards solutions could play.
The insight was used to engage directly with CSR managers, building brand awareness and competitive differentiation though a short research report, and communicate more broadly with the market through press coverage.
